App demo Operations platform
A property operations app, running in your browser
This is the operations platform I lead for a property management and development company. It connects work orders, leases and rent, bank transactions and project balances, so office, field, finance and leadership staff work from one shared record instead of spreadsheets, email and memory.
01 Where to start
Three short paths through the app
Follow a work order
“No hot water — Unit 3”: its property, vendor and assignee, checklist progress, an overdue follow-up, and the notes and history behind it.
Open the work order →Explore project finances
Each project’s current available balance, with the starting balance, funds added, spending and warnings behind it — then open one to see the detail.
Open Projects →Prepare a vendor dispatch
Choose open work for a vendor, review the package, and create the e-mail draft. In the demo the draft opens on a local page; nothing is sent.
Open Dispatch Center →02 What you’re opening
The real app, with invented records
- The app’s own interface and database. The platform’s PostgreSQL database — its tables, rules and access checks, built from the same migrations — runs inside your browser. It holds only invented records.
- Simulated where it would touch the outside world. You’re signed in as a fictional administrator. E-mail drafts open on a local page, and the Slack, Trello and Calendar buttons show a short note instead of leaving the demo.
- Nothing leaves this page. Changes stay in your browser; Reset demo restores the starting data. The first visit takes a few seconds while the database starts.
Because it runs in your browser, you control it — it shows how the platform works, not how it’s secured.
